thanks for the info, its definitly more than what I've had to go on in the past.

My father was never able to find much but that was back when the internet wasn't what it is now, and it can be difficult researching it from another country (Australia) and also the fact that he dissappeared before my father was born, so there is no father listed on his birth certificate.
