KERNERSVILLE Almeda Townsend, age 62, went to be with her Lord at 3 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at her home.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
She was born Nov. 3, 1941, in Cabin Creek, W.Va., a daughter of Edward Russell Binion and Shirley Williams of Racine, W.Va.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Kristey Henderson, of 87 E. Sourwood Drive, Browns Summit; and a son, Howard Mitchell, of 225 Red Spruce Circle, Browns Summit; two brothers, William Binion of San Diego and Robert Binion of Pennsylvania; a sister, Anita Hey, of High Point; and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program NCC, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720. Almeda touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed
