Arnold Eugene Zlomke, 89, of Grand Island, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Gollaher Chapel in Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. Patrick Grindol will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the All Faiths Funeral Home at 2929 S. Locust with the family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church or to the donors choice.
Mr. Zlomke was born March 4, 1911, at Central City to Otto Ferdinand and Anna Helena (Baumiester) Zlomke. He grew up and attended school in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High in 1930.
He married Eve Ross on Sept. 5, 1942, at Grand Island. The couple lived in Grand Island where he was employed by Dr. Pepper for 20 years and Kelly Supply for 30 years. He retired in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Eve; two sons, Jim of Columbus and John of Grand Island; one daughter, Judy (Mrs. Hugh) Miner of Grand Island; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
