I really do thank you for your help and as for the"Find A Grave" site..I have had folks send me some things in the past..I started this project some years ago and then my husband was working on his and his was so interesting...His family was one of the first settlers in pa and some knew the Wright Brother's ,,some were first settlers in lots of towns in pa and mid west and then out west and even in Texas..there was a town named for one of his ancestors andlots of roads, streets etc...named for his ancestors... lots and lots of very interesting things in his Billman line and then I got really sick and had to stop so what info I had got put away in files and boxes and I forgot all I thought I knew...then my sister got me a subscription in her name for Ancestry.com for 6 months as a gift...then I started to work there...then I have been very sick again and really didn't like that site as well as the Genforum site so I began to put out posts once again...this time after the info came in from Ancestry and face book meeting relatives I was ablt=e to put a little more info and then meeting folks like yourself who have promted me to get my memory back and look into what I did have and get it put into perspective I think things will end up being a fairly nice book for our family.
My books will be dedicated to our mother , even though she was a STOTT...she was very involved in all thre lines... and she raised 8 children all alone and was so involved in the lives of all of her children's friends and in the lives of relatives and just a shoulder to cry on and always had kind words and much love for everyone. there will be lots of photo's and memories from anyone I can get to participate etc... I just don't want a lot of names, dates (which I will have) but i want faces and places and success stories mixed in with stories that will touch the hearts of those of this generation who will never know the hardships that their grand parents and great grandparents had to endure and hopefully hep them to be thankful for the things and people they have in their life now. things come to easy for our children in many ways now and then again in another sense it is harder for them because they don't have the "family connections" that we had and the 'simple life' like many of us experienced. so with all that in mind, I want to share the love for family and the love for my mother especially for the way she showed everyone unconditional love and hopefully pass a little bit of tht on to those who will read and look at all those old photo's and the new photo's combined to bring the family together as one! well now..there you have it. Enjoy your day and I hope to hear from you anytime and take care. thank you so much for your encouragement, susan
