Mrs. Sarah Doyle Dies at Home in City
Mrs. Sarah Doyle passed away yesterday morning at her home on North Ninth
street, aged seventy-five years.She was stricken two weeks ago with paralysis from the
effects which she never recovered.
She leaves her husband, whose death is momentarily expected, and who has taken
no nourishment for nine days.He is eighty six years of age.The deceased is also survived
by eleven children all of whom are here with the exception of Mrs. Egbert, who resides in
the state of Washington.
As yet no arrangements have been made for the funeral.

J.E. Doyle Dies at Home in Beatrice
J.E. Doyle passed away yesterday morning at his home on North Ninth street aged
eighty-six years.His death followed that of his wife who passed away Monday morning at
her home in this city.
Funeral service for both will be conducted from the Christian church Friday
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev. C.F. Stevens.

Double Funeral for Late Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Doyle
A double funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Christian
church for the late Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Doyle, who died twenty-four apart at their home in
this city the first of the week.The services were conducted by Rev. C.F. Stevens and
were in charge of the Masonic order of which Mr. Doyle was a member , attended by
neighbors and friends and members of the Masonic order, and the beautiful floral offerings
received at the home were silent tokens of the esteem in which this aged couple was held.
All of the pallbearers were members of the Masonic order and were as follows:
E.C. Salisbury, Phil Clancy, M.F. Wolf, O.J. Lyndes, F.A. Miller, E.L. Hevelone, Rev.
N.P. Patterson, J.C. Penrod, Judge Wallace, H.R. Pyle, O.L. Salverson, W.H. Alexander.
The bodies were laid to rest in Everegreen Home Cemetery.

Obituary William E. Doyle
William E. Doyle, son of James E. and Sarah Bender Doyle, was born November
22, 1971 at Bloomfield, Indiana, and departed this life on March 28, 1958 at a Beatrice
Hospital, reaching the age of 86 years, 4 months, and 6 days.
His father, who was formerly a wagon and carriage maker in Indiana, came across
country by covered wagon with his family when William was a boy of fourteen years, and
homesteaded on a farm southwest of Liberty in Gage County, Nebraska.
It was here that the deceased grew to manhood.In his late teens he became a
member of the Christian Church.During his lifetime he was always willing and ready to
help a friend or neighbor in time of need.
On November 10, 1896, he was united in marriage to Sarah Jane Zehrung at
Pawnee City, Nebraska.To this union was born three daughters and one son.
He was engaged in farming during the greater part of his life at Liberty and Odell,
retiring to Blue Springs where he made his home since 1945.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Jane in June 1950, also four sisters and
He is survived by his children--Mrs. Elsie Rathbun, Harley Doyle, Mrs. Ethel
Manley, all of Odell, and Mrs. Margarie Rathbun of Los Angeles, California; is sisters --
Mrs. Laura Snyder, Mrs. Lillian Dolen, Mrs. Jessie Joseph, all of Beatrice, and Mrs. Tillie
Akin of Summerfield, Kansas; twelve grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren,
and a host of relatives and friends.
