Hello, I've traced my Griggs to Gage County, but have hit a brick wall.Looking for the following Griggses between the years 1811-1920's.There must be some trace of this family in a period of a century!
Any links I should try?
This is my possible lineage. Lucien Davison Griggs married Mary Townsend Kirk children: Lewis Theodore Griggs AKA L.T. Griggs Nathan Kirk Griggs Mary Lucien Griggs Anna Lisa Griggs
Nathan married Emily Essie Saunders known child: Daughter Griggs (yes, I think her name was daughter)
Lewis Theodore married Nancy Winship first and had son, Thomas Jefferson Griggs Then Lewis married Caroline Emily Gale and had the following children: Mollie Edith Griggs George Lewis Griggs Charles Clifton Griggs AKA Clifton Griggs Arthur Kirk Griggs Burt Griggs
These are proven relatives of mine, I believe the father of Gale (my grandfather) Per my father, William Clifton Griggs and aunt, Marguerite Griggs, their father, Gale Emerson had an uncle named Clifton and the following siblings:
Roger Griggs Marguerite Griggs Kirk Griggs Mollie Virginia Griggs
Too many of the names are a coincidence and all can be traced to Beatrice, Gage Co., NE.
