"Marriage of Henderson Smith And Clara Bartels Henderson Smith of this city and Miss Clara Bartels of Plymouth were married Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the German Lutheran church at Plymouth.Rev. M. Lehninger officiating.The ceremony was witnessed by a large number of relatives and friends of the couple. Following the ceremony a reception was given at the house of the bride's parents.An excellent wedding dinner was served and the remainder of the evening was passed in dancing in a large tent near the home. The newly married couple were the recipients of many valuable presents. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Smith who reside on South Eighth street, this city.He has been employed at the Beatrice brick yards for some time.His bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Bartels, old residents of the Plymouth vicinity.She is a young lady who has many friends in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Smith will make their home in Beatrice. Among those from Beatrice who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Smith, parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Stewart, Mrs. Sealf and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Art Franks.
