I am working on finding my Walton family who migrated to Hamilton Co @ 1888, from IL.I think many would be buried in the Aurora Cemetery.
It appears that Andrew D. Walton and wife Mary E. Hodson might have lived in Marquette in @ 1893, when perhaps, a ?son?, Andrew L Walton is born. (According to a possible son's WWI Draft Card).
Older Walton children/sibs were married, and living in the Aurora area:
Carrie B. Walton Hart and hsb. Joseph E. Hart;
Eva Walton Johnson and hsb. David M. Johnson;
Worthington McClure Walton and wf. Nellie Belle Hayes.
Worthy and Nellie div., and both remarried, and left a dau Eva, to live with Carrie and Joe Hart.Little adopted Eva died tradgically, when a stove caught her gown afire @ 1916.That past fall, her Uncle Joe Hart had died, after Aunt Carrie had taken paralysis.
WWI Draft shows an ANDREW L. WALTON, age 24, born Marquette, NE, single, works for the Burlington RR, lives in ?9th? Aurora, caring for his invalid sister(on line of next of kin).The invalid sister could be Cary Hart.I'm wondering if this Andrew is her brother.
Worthington M. Walton's WWI Draft card shows him in Waco, York Co. NE, age 36, and a Mrs. Minne E. Walton as next of kin.
I believe Mrs. Minnie E. Walton is his/their Mother, Mary E. Hodson Walton, who, in Little Eva's obit. is said to be Mrs. Gaylord, wife of Thomas C. Gaylord, and livingin a cottage at the Soldier's Home in Grand Island, NE.
Trying to find any of these Walton folk buried in the cemeteries, has not been accomplished.
I see T.C Gaylord in the Soldiers Cemetery Hall Co., NE -no dates.
I am curious for A. Walton, also buried there - no dates. (could it be Andrew DeCalb Walton? first hsb. of Mary E. Hodson Walton?
I do not know where Joe Hart is buried.. died in the fall of 1915.They attended the Christian Church, Rev C.C. Dobbs, as Mrs C. C. Dobbs is lovingly at the bedside of Little adopted Eva Walton Hart, while she lay dying.
I'll imagine Eva is buried in the Aurora cem with Uncle Joe Hart, and that Cary Walton Hart is also there sometimeafter June 1917.Perhaps even Mary E Walton Gaylord is buried there too.
It seems the other sister, Eva Walton Johnson's family might be in that same Aurora cemetery.Their dau, Etta Pearl m Ralph Frasier, and are buried in the Aurora cemetery.
Any help is much appreciated.This Andrew DeCalb Walton family has been my brickwall for 10 years, since the 1880 Il Census, until last summer, when Mr Pennasack of NY shared so kindly. Write firstname.lastname@example.org or respond here.Thankyou.
