Searching for information re: family of H. (HIRAM) VICTOR WAID and F.M. WAID.Additional information:
The PROSPECT CEMETERY in O'Neill, Nebraska lists an F.M. Waid as being buried there, with H. Victor Waid, "son of F.M. & Olive A. Waid."F.M. Waid is listed as Co. M. Mich. Nat'l Guard.Perhaps this was a son of H. Victor Waid.
My great-grandfather was Francis Marion Waid, DOB: 2/16/1852.He was born in ILL and is buried in Barton County, MISSOURI.Hiram Victor Waid was Francis Marion's brother.Olive Alzina (Walters) Waid was Francis Marion's wife.
JOSEPH VIRGIL ("J.V.") WAID, son of Francis Marion & Olive A. Waid, married Sceva Bryant in Ewing in 1906.They lived in Holt County for 8 years (approx. 1906-1914) before moving to Missouri, then Pilger, NE, and finallyin in Wisner, NE. SCEVA was devoutly METHODIST, so I suspect they were members of a Methodist church there.
H. Victor Waid reportedly died in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan at around age 19 on 12/1/1899 (circumstances unknown) but was nevertheless buried in O'Neill. We're guessing, and just guessing, that the F.M. Waid buried in O'Neill must be an unknown relative--but that's just a guess.
I would appreciate any information about my ancestors' lives in Holt County, or any clarifying information.Thank you.Brian Waid (Seattle, Wash.)
