DeWitt Times-News Thursday, March 22, 1923 OBITUARY Margaret Doyle Russell was born in Ogle county, Illinois, April 7, 1858, and died at her home in Lincoln, Nebraska, March 18, 1923, being 64 years, 11 months and 11 days old at the time of her death. The deceased came with her parents to Nebraska when she was but a girl and settled on a farm that is now Glenover, in the city of Beatrice.She was united in marriage to John Russell in 1881, and moved with her husband to a farm five miles east of DeWitt, where she continued to reside until 1913, when she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. Her husband died in 1891 and she with her five small children continued to live on the farm until her departure to Lincoln.She leaves four daughters, Mrs. R. F. Dusil of Wilber, Nebraska; Mrs. M. E. Cashen, Lincoln; Mrs. Robert H. Casper, Belvidere; Miss Harriet who lived with her, and one son, John E. Russell, who lives on the old home at DeWitt; two brothers, E. J. Doyle, Nelson, Nebraska and C. H. Doyle, Beatrice, Nebraska, four sisters, Mrs. E. J. Burgett, Denver; Mrs. Thomas Fisk, Greely, Colorado, and Misses Mary and Emma Doyle, of Beatrice, Nebraska. The funeral was held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament church in Lincoln, and was conducted by Rev. Father Cronin.The body was taken to Beatrice, Nebraska, for interment in the Catholic cemetery.
