Fred L. Temple, 80, mayor of North Platte from 1927 to 1937, died Sunday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John G. Nordgren, in Harper, Washington. Temple was a prominent banker and served as mayor of Lexington before coming to North Platte. He was associated with O.A. Johnson in the insurance business in North Platte and served as Grand Master of the Nebraska Masonic Grand Lodge in 1917. A son, Harold, will accompany the body to Lexington Thursday and Masonic rites will be conducted Friday.Interment will be in the family plot at Lexington. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nordgren and Mrs. Schell Harmon of Harper and two sons, Harold, Portland, Oregon and Phillip, Los Angeles, California.
I also found the obit of his wife, Josephine who died 31 July 1933 and two articles about Frederick--one on a blackmail attempt on him & his family.
