Hi Barbara, We are not related, but we have some interesting similarites in our family research. My research involves my Donaho family line. My 4th Great-grandfather Jacob Donaho migrated to Fulton County, IL. around 1830. I believe Jacob came from Highland County Ohio??? where there are several Donaho families. Jacob Donaho's next door neighbor in Fulton County was Robert W. Combs from Highland County, OH. James P. Combs, I believe is a son of Robert W. Combs. James Combs signed as a witness on Jacob Donaho's Probate Packet in Fulton County in 1839. Are these Combs of Fulton County related to William D. Combs and his father John Milton Combs of Knox Co. IL.? Jacob Donaho's oldest son James Donaho b. 1820 my (3 g Great-grandfather) lived in Abingdon, Knox Co. IL. James Donaho is buried at the M. E. Cemetery near Hermon, Chestnut Twp. Knox Co. IL. James Donaho's oldest son Jacob Donaho my (2 g Great-grandfather) b. 1850 came to Nebraska City, NE. with his family around 1880. I believe they had a farm near Paul or Julian Nebraska, Jacob and his wife Elizabeth are buried at Camp Creek Cemetery in Otoe County. I would like to know if you have any information about the Combs family. I believe the Donaho's and the Combs family had a connection to each other even back to Highland County, Ohio. Any information you are willing to share would be greatly appreciated. I would like to make a connection for my Donaho's in Highland County. Thank you!
