Based on limited research I find David & Marcie MOOBERRY along with four sons, David D. (age 13), Alfred D. (age 9), Charlie (age 5), and Ronert (age 3) living in Monroe, NE during the 1880 census. David and Marcie are both listed as having been born in Ohio, the older son David D. born in Illinois, and the three younger boys all born in NE.
This would make Charlie 10 years old at the time the album started and likely that A. MOOBERRY signing in the album was his older brother Alfred D. MOOBERRY. David MOOBERRY signing in the album could be either his father or older brother David. I also find Edward MOOBERRY (age 21) and his wife Sarah C. MOOBERRY (age 20) living in Monroe, NE during the 1880 census. Edward is listed as having been born in Illinois and both his parents in Ohio leading me to believe that he may also be a son of David & Marcie MOOBERRY and Sarah C. MOOBERRY the "Sister" in his autograph album. I was hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old family treasure could be returned to its rightful place with family, however, I was not successful so I have forwarded to album along to the Saline County Genealogical Society in hopes that they might be able to trace the family.
If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact the Saline County Genealogical Society.
Thanks,
Shelley
