Hi, Candice. Here is the balance of the information from the Metz Mortuary database:
Name: John Albert Dye Born: August 15, 1905 at Atchinson, Kansas Died: May 15, 1971 at Bradshaw, Nebraska Resident of Bradshaw at time of death Age: 65 Funeral: Metz Mortuary Chapel, York, NE Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, York, NE (space 7-22-M) Father: John L. Dye Mother: Hannah Gerrish Spouse: Lena Mae Disney Survivors: Lena M. Dye, Danny Dye, Lee Dye, Keven Dye, Georgia Jacobs, and Cheryl Ann Dye
If you want a copy of his obit, I would suggest you write to Kilgore Memorial Library (520 Nebraska Ave, York, NE 68467) since the house the microfilm on the newer issues of the York News Times. The last I knew they did not charge for printing out obits, but do appreciate a stamped self-addressed envelope and a donation to offset their staff and copying costs.
As an aside, buried by him are his wife and an infant boy (they are in the same space). On the surface it would appear that his wife died as a complication of that birth.Perhaps that is why your father had to give up your mother for adoption. I'm including their information too, just in case this is your grandmother.
Name: Anna Mae Dye Born: July 25, 1915 at York, NE Died: March 5, 1941 at York, NE Resident of York at time of death Age 25 Funeral: Metz Mortuary Chapel, York, NE Burial: Greenwood Cemetery (space 9-22-M) Father: Charles E. Ellis Mother: Sarah A. Andrews Spouse: Albert Dye

If you want an obit for Anna, you could get it from Kilgore Library (address above), the York County Historical Association (P. O. Box 81, York, NE 68467 ....they charge $3, which includes postage), or Nebraska State Historical Society in Lincoln.
