You must have found the correct record.I am having a problem finding the correct records on the Ellis Island site.Several years ago I did a search for Michele Di leuce (with the space & spelling according to Ellis Island site) and found a record of his arrival in 1904 on the ship Piemonte.I have a copy of the text record. I wanted to go back and look closer and see if I could pull out some more info.BUT, now when I find him in the search, the text record is the same but the viewable manifest is from a different ship and the person is another Michele, not him.The record is for a totally different place.Do you know what is going on with that???
About the Morelli relative, I had heard the name Morelli sometime long ago in relation to my family.Perhaps I can search out that name.I can’t figure how he is a brother-in-law unless it is his wife’s sister’s husband.I have looked for his sister named Rosie in other records but have not found her.
I have absolutely no records other than those that pertain to my mother. Her birth certificate and a couple of documents relating to her funeral. No death certificates or burial locations on any of those relatives.Of course I know the facts in that case of my mother since I was there when it happened. * I may have already told you this: There is a name as witness on my mother’s birth certificate, Simone. I have been posting to several places and can’t remember which facts I have included in which post. lol
I visited my mother’s grave for the first time just a few years ago. I had never had an opportunity to go there. She is buried in Savannah GA.I live almost 900 miles away.It seems to be not so far but before it was just not possible.
If you happen to learn any more about my DiLeuce or Ippolito family, I will be ever grateful if you will point me in the right direction.
