NM records are a "crap shoot". Births were not officially recorded by the state prior to 1919-so if you are looking for one that far back-maybe, maybe not. But, the state site for printing the order form etc. is here: http://www.vitalrecordsnm.org/http://www.vitalrecordsnm.org/ NM has no central database for marriages like most states do. Those have to be found at the county level-usually from the county clerk. Hopefully you have contact with a county clerk's office that will oblige, and you aren't looking in a county that "changed bounderies" in your sought after time frame, because then, very often no one knows where the records for "prior to the boundery change" are kept. Like I said--it can be a crap shoot! Good luck!
