HISTORICAL STRUCTURES PUT TO NEW USES.
The old Metal Exchange, in Burling slip, between Water and Pearl streets, was sold. A Vandewater street structure, in which the Family Story Paper used to be printed, went to a new Sunday newspaper for its plant. Harris Cohen's old clothing bay, at Park Row and Baxter Street was bought by an investor in anticipation of a rise in values because of the formation of the new civic centre. Teutonia Hall, Nos. 66-68 Essex street, went to a new owner.
