I have my key relatives leaving St. Petersburg Russia in 1923, going to Sebastopol and catching a passenger ship from Constantinople to arrive Ellis Island on August 1, 1923. On the manifest, they and a number of others listed a 'local address' as: Russ.Ref.Rel.Soc.of Am, Inc. on 87th Street in NYC I am assuming organization was like The Tolstoy Foundation in the 1940's and 50' helping Russians (and others)to relocate to America. But I can't find anything else about it or if there are any further records or details on my family.
I am ultimately trying to trying to track down everyone (sisters and then their offspring) that stayed behind in Russia. I am fairly certain at least one married, had a child and was in Yugoslavia. And I only have the father's name as Frank and the mother's as Potapoff.
