Dear Carolyn, Thank you for taking an interest in my search. I know very little details about my aunt Sadie ,as her brother and sister are dead and those that may have some information about her and her family ,for whatever reason want nothing to do with her. You see my father was born in Czechoslovakia in 1902 ,he died in 1960 when i was a little boy ,so i don't know a lot about his family, all his family died in the holocaust and he was the only one to survive, what I knew from a letter that my father wrote to his brother Max born 1882 who left Czechoslovakia about 1904. i have traced his grandchildren, but they don't want to disclose anything ,so there is no contact with them, I have the last address Max weiss lived itwas 3965-51 street ,Woodside 11377 New York , His wife was Rose and they had to children, Edmund and Harrold, they are all on the census form of 1920,1930 and 1940.Edmund had two daughters and managed to trace them but they are not forthcoming. Minnie Weissborn 1890,his sister, came to the USA 1906,she stayed with her uncle Emanuel Schoenberger and his wife Sarah, she is on the cencus 1910, she married a Samuel Horn and had two children, a daughter who lives in New york, I spoke to her, and she was the one who told me that my father had another sister in the USA ,which I never knew, I just knew about Max and Minnie (later changed name to Meryl)is on the census , she told me she was about the age of her mother +/- few years ,I don't know exactly when she came to the USA,maybe after her sister, I was told she married and had a daughter name Helen born around 1915 and a boy few years younger, she and her husband run a candy store, a possible address ,Amsterdam avenue New York. more than that ,I don't know and Minni's does not want to tell me anymore, she tells me that her mother had no contact with her . any docomunts she has to help me to trace she refuses to disclose. so here I am. if you can help me to trace her ,or if you need any more information I will appreciate it very much and be gratefulto you.
