I am searching for further information aboutSadie and David Friedmam.I am related to Sadie's side of the family. Sadie was my father sister, which i never knew he had.The information I gathered so far . Sadie was born in Hungary (than Czechoslovakia) about the 1890 +/- couple of years. I never knew about Sadie until very recently when I was told by her niece who is about 90 years old and lives in New York. I knew that my father had only a brother (Max Weiss) and a sister (Minnie , Merele Weiss)living in New York . Which with your help I have them both traced. Sadie's niece the daughter of Minnieknows very little information as she does not remembers . she knows only that Sadie had 2 children, a girl name Helen born New York about 1915 and a boy 2 or 3 years younger ,born about 1918, the niece recalls a name Sidney in the family but is not sure whether it was the father or a son. she remembers that he was working in the laundry when she was about 12 years old (1940) ,no further details as when she was growing her mother did not have any contact with Sadie. Very recently in my search I came across a 1905 census of New York city and found Max Weis and Sadie Weisliving and working in a clothing factory,86 Lewis street,Manhattan district he as a tailor and she as a dresser.they were in the USA only for a couple of years and were registered as alien , on the same census next was also another name ,David Friedman which I believe she married later as Ifound census 1920 a Sadie Friedman living in Bronx with 2 children a girl name Helen born 1915 and a boy name Sidney born 1918, further more I found in a census of 1940 a Sidney Friedman of 1317 West Farm Road Bronx New York working as a helper in a laundry. From all the information I received from Sadie's niece and from what I gathered so far I believe this is the right one, Therefore I need your help if there is any one who can help me trace the Sidney Friedman family, any children or grand children . Any help will be appreciated so i can close this search. thanks to all of you who took time to help me so far to trace my uncle Max Weiss and my aunt Minnie Weiss.
