James Henry Wade, 87, a retired pottery worker, died Thursday at his home, 916 Linden avenue. He had been in failing health for the past 4 years with a heart ailment.
Mr. Wade was born in Scioto County, 3/7/1873, a son of William and Tivha Wade. He had lived in Zanesville since 1919 and was employed at the SA Weller Pottery for 28 years in the packing department. He later held a similar job at the Zanesville Stoneware for 12 years.
Mr. Wade was a member of the Salvation Army.
He is survived by his widow, Ida M; 6 sons, CLifford of Lima,Samuel of Alameda, California; Leonard of San Leandro, California; Loren of Princeton ave; Roy of Cambridge; and Namon of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Annie Greco of Brooklyn, NY; 1 sister, Mrs. Myrtle Hardman of San Jose, California.

The funeral of William Wade, Scioto Furnace, was held last Friday. Burial was made in Greenlawn cemetery. Mr. Wade was a Civil War veteran and formerly lived in Vernon township. He died after a short illness of pneumonia. One week before Mr. Wade passed away his wife, Tavita Wade, died of pneumonia.
