I am looking for any information for my uncle, Ulysses (Buster) Hewett. From what I have uncovered in newspaper articles (Akron Beacon Journal), he was a prisoner at Mansfield Correctional facility sometime between 1927-1934 or 35. From hearsay, there are 2 stories: he was transferred to the hospital wing at Lima State Hospital due to a rupture of his appendix or a bout with TB. He died as a result of one of those. I know that my grandparents were not financially able to claim the body or have it shipped home. Any help or leads would be deeply appreciated.
Buster would've been 21 years old in 1930. He would've been listed as Negro. His parents' names were Tolbert and Ethel Hewett . I believe they lived at 13 E. Glenwood Ave. in Akron Ohio. This is all the information that I have. I know this is a long shot, but if you can help me, my family would appreciate it.
