A friend of mine, Robert Moeller, is the great grandson of Christian Moeller. He just recently began researching his ancestry. Your message indicates you have information on the marriage of Christian. Do you have a date or location where it took place? Rob said he found some reference to Christian's father being named John. I believe it was on Christian's death certificate and no mother name was listed. However in Auglaize in 1850, the only Christian I could find that was 1 year old was listed as Christian Miller (seems Miller was commonly used in census for several decades). That Christian was living in home of William and Christine Miller and 4 other kids William 13, Christine 9, Herman/Harmon - 4 and Henry 1/12. The census does not give relationships so can't confirm if Christian is a son or nephew to Wm and Christine. The two oldest kids and parents born in Germany (Prussia) and 3 youngest in Ohio.
Interestingly Henry Moeller is listed in 1880 and 1900 married to Matilde living in Osage, Otoe, NE. Born in Ohio and same age as expected for Henry Miller. His wife is Matilde Floerke. She was also born in Auglaize. She and family are there in 1860 in New Bremen. Then in 1870 in St. Marys (Flour in census transcription) same place Christian and Henry were living in 1850. In St. Marys they live a few houses away from William Miller which age and place of birth match the 13 year old William Miller in 1850. If you have any more information on Christian since your 2003 posting I would love to pass it along to my friend.
