Died. BOWMAN. - Mrs. Elizabeth BOWMAN, wife of Mr. John S. BOWMAN, died at the "Saints' Home" Lamoni, at three o'clock Thursday morning, September 21, 1905, at the age of 75 years and 6 days. She had been in fair health until Sunday the 10th, when she had a sudden attack of rapid heart action and a feeling as of smothering. She was much weakened at the time, and from that on continued to fail until the end though when death finally came it was suddenly and without warning.
Mrs. BOWMAN was born in Belmont county, Ohio, in 1830. In later years she lived in Wayne county, Illinois. In 1901 she and her husband came to live in the home prepared for the aged and infirm. Both became members of the Reorganized Church in 1899. Mr. BOWMAN feels the loss of his companion more fully because of the fact that he has been blind for twenty-one years and she has been his constant companion and guide during that time. Funeral service was held on Friday afternoon, Elder H. A. Stebbins preaching the sermon and Elder Eli Hayer assisting.
