These are two deeds from Belmont County records.
Thomas Howell deed
Know all men by those present that I Thomas Howell of the County of Belmont and State of Ohio in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear unto my six beloved children, ? my beloved sons, John Howell and Aaron Howell – also my beloved daughters Hannah Cain, Ruth Howell, Rhoda Howell and Emma Howell in the County and State aforesaid – and also for ?? other good causes and considerations ?? second Thomas Howell moving ?? given granted and conformed and by these presents do give ? and confirm unto my six beloved children on equal terms ?? singular my goods chattles and personal Estate whatsoever ??hands custody or possession serves they there be within the State of Ohio to have, hold and enjoy all and singular the goods, chattle and personal Estate aforesaid unto the said six children, their ? executors, administrators and assigns – to the only proper ? and behoff of them the said six children, their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns ? and I the said Thomas Howell – all and singular. The said goods and chattels personal estate, and other ? premises to the said six children – their heirs executors and all ? other person or persons whatsoever will warrant and def.. to those present of all and singular which said goods chattle personal estate and other the premises. I the said Thomas Howell have put the said six children in full possession by delivering to them over now at the time of sealing and delivering these presents so the same of the whole premises hereby granted.
In witness thereof I have herewith set my hand and seal the twenty fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight.

Personally came Thomas Howell of the County and State aforesaid before me David Ruble Justice of Belmont County and York township who acknowledged the within Instrument to be his voluntary act and deed given under my hand and seal this 28th day of November 1808.

David Howell deed
Know all men by these presents that I David Howell of the County of Belmont and State of Ohio in consideration ofthe natural love and affection which I have and have unto my beloved son John Howell of the County and State aforesaid and also for diverse other good causes and consideration me the said David Howell??? Have given granted and confirmed and by these present do give grant and confirm unto the said John Howell all and singular my goods chattle and personal estate whatsoever in whole hands custody or possession ? they may be within the State of Ohio.
To have hold and enjoy all and singular the said goods chattle and personal estate aforesaid in the said John Howell his executors administrators and assigns to the only proper ? ? behoofof him the said John Howell his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said David Howell all and singular he said goods chattle personal estate and other the promises to the said John Howell his heirs executors administratorsand assigns against me the said David Howell my executors and administrators and all and any other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and defend by these presents of all and singular which said goods chattle and personal estate and other promises I the said David Howell have put the said John Howell in full possession by delivering to him one mare at the time of sealing and delivery of these presents in the name of the whole ? hereby granted.

The State of Ohio Belmont County
On the day of the date of the within deed of gift personally came before me James Lloyd one of the Justice for the Peace for Richland township in the County aforesaidthe within signed David Howelland acknowledged the within deed of gift to be his act and deed for the use and purpose ??
Given under my hand and seal the twenty seventy day of June one thousand eight hundred and seven.
Entered the 27th day of June 1807 and recorded the 8th day of July same year.
