I have learned more about the family since the original posting. It appears that George and Sophia were divorced some time between 1920 and 1927.
George married a lady named Opal, and they were living in Martins Ferry, Ohio, in 1942, according to his WWII draft registration.
Sophia married Richard J. DeBLOUW, and in the 1930 census they were living in Hollidays Cove, Butler Mag Dist, Hancock Co, WV, with her daughters, Florence and Bertha MARTIN.Richard was a Belgian immigrant and veteran of World War I.In 1957, they lived in Weirton, and Sophia was apparently the president of the family association of Robert M. WALLACE descendants, because she conducted their business meeting at the family reunion at the home of Charles and Florence (DENNIS) RAMSAY in Bellaire, followed by a picnic and the awarding of prizes. There are several similar notices of these Wallace reunions in later years, in the Weirton Daily Times.
By 1969, Richard and Sophia DeBLOUW moved to Holliday, Florida.Richard died in Tarpon Springs, Florida, in 1972, and Sophia died there in 1976.
Sophia's daughter, Bertha E "Bert" MARTIN married Orin L. GILLILAND and lived in Chicago, and later Spring Hill, Florida. They had a daughter Bonnie, who also attended these reunions.
I do wish that I had been at those family reunions!
