? on -citizenship papers from 1825
Hello,
I'm in need of an address to write to in Belmont Co OH for a copy of Citizenship papers on a Joseph Ralston who became a citizen in 1825- listed as a citizen of Great Britian, hoping the papers have more clues on him & would like to find out where to write to in the county for such papers.
Any help treasured.
I know this Joseph died in 1828 age 60 & he was buried at the Crapapple cemetery & have his will. He left his plantation to his wife-
Agness but I haven't found any more info on her (I wonder who she left the plantation to) & he mentions 2 brothers in his will but only names 1 James who had sons Joseph & John.
LOVE to find out more on these RAlstons. I've found the name spelled all different ways in OH records-even Dawlston in one OH obit that spelled the name 3 different ways in the same paragraph.
My group of Ralstons lived just over the Ohio river in early Brooke Co VA on Kings Creeks since 1783. looking for branches who moved into Ohio area also..
Surnames- Morehead & Greer & Porter in Carroll Co OH,
I've lost a David Ralston by 1843 who got land in Senecca Co in 1830's & found his poss brother Samuel who is buried there with wife Elizabeth Parks.
Also looking for a Andrew Ralston who died before 1843-
& Cable, Shoebrooks, in Steubenville after 1860's. Other surnames in Brooke co- Tucker, McConnell, Wilson, McCready, Cochran, Holmes, Graham, Morehead, Whitson, & ton of others who married into my Ralston family in the 1800's.
Thanks for any clues on my ? on the citizenship papers in Belmont Co. OH.
Happy Trails on all your researching in 2001.
