The Quaker Ency. will tell a little about the Kenny line, mostly about her son Daniel and Elinor Maxwell. After Daniel died she moved to New York and Northern New Jersey. Regarding birth dates; based upon census information, I estimate that George was born about 1760-70, Daniel was born April 04, 1773 and Thomas in 1768. I have no dates for James or Richard. It would unlikely that the William James that you speak of, to be Phebe’s father. The IGI birth date for husband Daniel is 1742 and I would guess that Phebe was born about that time, give or take a few years. It not likely that she would be nearly 20 years his senior. George and Elizabeth Kenny migrated to Monroe Co., Ohio 1818, residing on land purchased by Richard in 1815 at the Marietta Land Office. Richard had previously purchased land in Belmont County, 1805, at the Steubenville land office and is listed as an Ohio Entryman. With George, came two sons George Jr. (b. 1799) and Frederick. Sometime later,Dau. Barbara (m. Roger Foley) came to also. George participated in the formation of Malaga Twp. (1820) and became it’s first constable. George died sometime after 1830. George Jr. remained in Monroe and married Ann Cronin, I descend from his son Alfred. Frederick moved on to Hocking Co. and is currently being investigated. I have not yet visited the cemetery, and shamefully so, for I live nearby (abt. 25 min.). I have resolved to go there soon.
