Hi. I noted a John A.Glaze & Nathaniel Glaze in the 1830 Vermilion Co.,Illinois census. Also Nathaniel Glaze & Harrison Glaze in the 1840 Vermillion Co.,Illinois census. Which leads me to suspect Nathaniel Glaze in the 1820 Brown Co.,Oh.census to be the same. I have also noticed a George Glaze Smith,in the 1880 Blount twp.,Vermillion Co.,Illinois census, born abt.1830 Oh/Pa/Pa. It is said,he was the son of Sarah Minerva Glaze & Isaac Smith. It's also said he was born Scioto Co.,Oh.and his parents were married Scioto Co.,Oh. Found four Isaac Smiths in marriage records in Scioto Co.,Oh.,none to a Sarah Minerva Glaze. I also checked Pike Co.,Oh.,no luck. Two Isaac Smiths in the 1830 Scioto Co.,Oh. census,(Brush Creek & Jefferson twp.,). Four Isaac Smiths in the 1840 Vermillion Co.,Illinois census. I have little doubt,George G.Smith was a son of Isaac Smith, but suspect his mother may have been related to the Glaze families of Brown Co.,Oh. and Vermillion Co.,Illinois?
