E.P. DAVIDSON of Lincoln Township, died at his home on Sunday, April 2, after an illness of less than a week with heart trouble and pneumonia. He was 62 years of age. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Blackburn, were held on Monday forenoon at 11 o'clock, after which the remains were interred in the Oxford Cemetery.
EBEN P. DAVIDSON was born in Clarke [sic] County, Ohio, on October 12, 1842. When quite young he moved with his parents to Indiana where they resided for about fifteen years. In 1865 they moved to Wayne County, Iowa, and after a residence there of about a year they came to Lucas County where he has since made his home. He was one of a family of nine children, only two of whom are now living, ALICE and RACHEL of Lincoln Township. MR. DAVIDSON also leaves a daughter who resides in Kansas. These sorrowing ones have the sympathy of many friends in their great grief. Deceased united with the M.E. Church many years ago and retained his membership in the Chariton Church until his death.
About seven years ago he lost his left arm by getting it caught in a corn shredder and since that time has had a hard struggle to manage the farm and earn a livelihood. He possessed a kind disposition and had many friends who will learn of his death with deep regret.
