Hi Margie, I realize this post is really old and I may have already talked to you with another email address but I will post anyway in the hope it helps you or someone.I have Abraham Kilgour's death record which is just a photocopy of a ledger entry obtained from Clinton County records.Your birthplace for Abraham Kilgour seems to be incorrect.
My copy states his birthplace was Clermont County, Ohio and he died of heart disease on Sept 22 1894 in Clinton County, Ohio. I know I have the right Abraham Kilgour because he married Sarah Scholz in 1849 in Hamilton County, Ohio and together they had 11 children.Mary was one of the older daughters. Birthdates for Abraham range from 1817 to 1820 in various census records in his life so it has been a difficult years-long search to determine who his parents are since those records are scarce. He only states over and over that his father was born in Ohio which may make the father one of the first whites/Kilgours in Ohio based on the time period (1780-90's to 1800 at least) when Ohio was then abundantly populated with mostly Indians.
Your record here states "Husband Alfred Lemmon still living at time of her death" which is a pretty good indication that since his wife died before him, he gave the wrong information about her father at the time of her death.
I am printing the correction in the hope it helps you or someone recognize Abraham as one of their ancestors and might have more information.Thanx.
