I am not associated with the museum that published the book detailing John Gaston's military service, but it does give a great deal of very good information about him. As I was reading it I thought, if this was my family, I would want to know, but how would the Gaston family ever learn that the book was even available? I think if any descendants of this Gaston family survive they would be very interested in seeing it, that is why i made the earlier post in this forum.
I would love to visit the mills someday, it sounds like a wonderful place and knowing the history of the family behind it would make it so much more meaningful to me. I do not have photographs of it but I am sure if anyone has photographs of Gaston's Mills, or especially of the Gaston Family, the museum that published the book about John Gaston would love to hear from those people.
