Since my original posting, I have done more research on the Rusks of Crawford County, although they originally came from Tuscarawas County.John Wesley Rusk died in on April 19, 1899 and was buried in Fairview Cemetery. His birth in the Fairview Cemetery records indicated 1845.He and his wife Emma Elizabeth Wilcoxon were married on March 29, 1873 in Tuscarawas County, probably Uhrichsville. He served in the Civil War and Emma applied for death benefit when he died. They had ten children:Macie, John Wilkie (J. W.) Adra, Glen, James Franklin, Richard Arlee (Not Orlee,) Chauncy or Charles B., Ella Marie, Della and Donald.Macie Dellym Rusk was born on December 30, 1873, probably in Tuscarawas County, and died in Crawford County on February 20, 1920.She is buried at Fairview Cemetery. She did not marry and was found on the 1895 Kansas State Census as living with her cousin, Ella Wilcoxon Brown.John Wilkie was born on August 22, 1876, probably in Tuscarawas County. He was listed in the World War I Draft Registration for Crawford County and his wife's name was Harriet Booth Rusk of Schenectedy New York. He was listed in the 1920 census with his mother. He died on November 26, 1922 in Crawford County. He is buried at the Fairview Cemetery.Adra was born on September 8, 1878 in Uhrichsville, Tuscarawas County. She married George C. Romig some time after the 1900 census. She died in Uhrichsville on September 14, 1971 and is buried there at Union Cemetery with her husband George.Chauncy B. and Ella Marie are twins. They were born in Uhrichsville on June 12, 1888.Ella died in March of 1969 in Uhrichsville.Chauncy was listed in the California death index in 1955 in San Diego County.Della was born on September 17, 1890 and died on February 25, 1904 in Galion. She is buried in Fairview Cemetery. Glen Kenneth Rusk was born on August 3, 1880.John Donald Rusk was born on January 29, 1898.Robert Arlee died in Los Angeles on September 26, 1946.James Frank was born on August 26, 1882 and died on August 15, 1913 in Crawford County. He is buried in the Fairview Cemetery. There is no evidence he married. Also buried in the Rusk family plot was an infant born in April 1906 and died that same month. No evidence of who the parents were is listed in the Crawford County cemetery index.Emma Elizabeth Wilcoxon Rusk was born on February 12, 1854 in Ohio. She died on April 15, 1930 in Galion. She was buried in the Fairview Cemetery. Her parents were James F. Wilcoxon and Sarah Foreman, although the Crawford County cemetery index lists her mother as Johanna Sullivan.I believe that Johanna was the second wife since James and Sarah Foreman married in Tuscarawas County on May 4, 1848 and were listed as husband and wife on the 1860 and 1870 census.Sarah died before the 1880 census. When James died he was listed as married in 1892.I would be most pleased to receive any more additional information on this family.
