As a hobby I rescue old photos that have identification on them. I recently obtained one from an auction in Ohio and it is described as follows:
The frame measures 13" x 12" and the photo itself is 8" x 6". The photo is matted. The photo is labeled and reads: "Christina Rosina Brown Born July 5 - 1824 Died Aug 13 - 1911 Age 87 yrs - 1 mo - 8 days." One of the wreathes also reads "Mother."
The photo of Christina is surrounded by funeral flowers, as this is a memorial photo of her. She is dressed in black and is wearing wire rimmed glasses. The frame is in great shape, but needs a good cleaning. It's wooden and decorative with a few small chips broken from the design.
All in all this is a great genealogical find. If you'd like to obtain it, please contact me at: email@example.com for details.
