These folks were Slovaks. The church mentioned is the principle Slovak church in Cleveland.
Since Czechoslovakia was only born in 1920, if this family arrived before that time they were citizens of the Kingdomof Hungary.
The name you mentioned is shown here as SUHANIC. That looks like a more correct spelling. In slovak it would look like this S'UHANIC'(shuhaneech). The other name mentioned is BEZILLA. That looks correct also.
