You need to do some in-depth searching at http://pilot.familysearch.org/http://pilot.familysearch.org/. Additional info and the images are at http://fsbeta.familysearch.org/http://fsbeta.familysearch.org/.
John Calvin and EMELINE may have been related. His mother Levinia and her father John were both DILS.
John Calvin was b 1 Jul 1840 Canada, d 7 Apr 1910 at home, 920 Washington St., Defiance. His father was Benjamin and his mmn was Levinia DILS. He was an oil dealer, married and Emeline was the informant on his death cert. He was buried 9 Apr 1910 in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
On 14 Oct 1914 Emeline BROWN married Daniel Martin STAIR in Defiance. Only the basic info is online but a copy of their marriage license application would include their parents' names, birthplaces, etc.
Emeline Dils Brown STAIR died at home, 912 Washington St., Defiance, 26 Aug 1918. Her husband Daniel was the informant and he only knew she was b 12 Jan 1845 in Canada and her father's name was John DILS. Emeline was buried in Riverside Cemetery on 28 Aug 1918.
Note the closeness of the Brown and Stair residences; 912 versus 920 Washington. This could have been a typo but there are houses at both locations today.
I think you need to get a copy of John and Emeline's obits. Early obits usually were very brief but by 1918 her obit may have mentioned a daughter Minnie. The obits may mention a church, whose records may include the death or marriage of Minnie.
I am not related.
PS. Vernando Hilton NICELY married Jennie A. ODONNELL on 12 Sep 1907 in North Baltimore, Wood, OH. Her surname may have been MCDONNELL but a copy of her marriage license application would confirm/deny this.
