Researching William Cooper and Mary Boon's children. William and Mary "Polly" lived in Delaware County and are buried in the "Blue Church" Cemetery. William died March 10, 1858 at 81 years. Mary died Mar or May 16, 1863 ages 86 years --months. The book I found said these 2 stones are broken and lying against a fence. I have a probate record from William that mentions Licurgus, but does not state relationship. On the 1860 census William is deceased, but Mary is living right next door to Lycurgus Cooper and Martha Cooper (Cooper is Martha's maiden name). I have a marriage record from Lycurgus' second marriage that states his father is William Cooper and Mother's maiden name is Boon. I have a pension record from Lycurgus' son, Isaac Newton Cooper that has an affidavit in in, filled out by William Cooper, only living brother to Lycurgus. Lycurgus migrated down into Iowa, Ill, Kansas, and died in Mo. In 1840, Lycurgus was in Indiana with a 80-90 year old male in his household, but it was not William. William and Mary are listed on Ly's census records as being from New Jersey. Is anyone researching these people? Do you have any other siblings for Licurgus/Lycurgus and the second William Cooper? Do you have any information on Mary Boon?
I would appreciate any and all help. Janie Cooper Russell Oklahoma
