The present Ohio Veterans Home is on the site of the former Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Home in Sandusky, OH. It is located on land that runs from Milan Ave (Route 250) west to Columbus Ave - takes up the entire block. Also has cemetery on the grounds. The former Erie County Children's home is located on Columbus Ave, but not at same location. The old Children's Home is now the Erie County Dept of Human Services, and other county offices. So far as I know, the Soldiers & Sailors Home (now the Ohio Veterans Home) has always been at its present location. If these two boys were lost or abandoned in the LATE 1800s, there would not have been any Indians in this area at that time. If EARLY 1800's, there would have been no orphanage, children's home or Soldiers home that early. What other details do you have?
