Benjamin's tombstone is located in Sharon Cemetery, which is in Washington Township, Wayne Co., IA. It was broken off when we visited the cemetery on Aug 14, 1999, and the only remaining inscription was "AGED 83y 10m 28d". It is located directly south an infant son of Asa and Eliza J. Ryun and directly north Polly, wife of Benjamin Ryun. Verna May, coordinator for Wayne County, looked up the stone for me and sent me the following reply:
"According to the Wayne County Cemetery Books, the stone in Sharon Cemetery Row 14 Plot 14.12 is that of B--- Ryun Died ? 21, 1870 age 83 yrs. 10 mo 28 da."
