of 4 Hello!! I am seeking information on Jacob G Wilden who was born about 1800 in Germany. His fathers name was George Wilden who was born about 1772 in Germany. Jacob Immigrated to America in 1821 and lived in York County, Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth Farrey. Jacob and Elizabeth had 4 children Abram, Susan, Eliza, and Arminia. Elizabeth died prior to 1835 because Jacob and his 4 chilren moved to Fulton County, Ohio. Jacob then married an Anna M Binder (Bender) and they had 3 known children. Emily, Ellen, and George who was born about 1850. I think George was my Great Grandmother's father.
In Fulton County, Ohio Jacob G. Wilden laid out the town of Burlington in 1839.He erected the first store, sold the first merchandise ever retailed inthe village.
I would like to hear from anyone who has any information on this family.
Also there is a Book written by a Anthony Steven Wilden It is called Wilden Family History : A Book of Remembrance. It was published in 1993 in Enoch, Utah
The Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah has a copy of this book. I E-mailed them to try to get a copy of it and they said they would only copy 10% of it for 15 cents a page. If anyone has access to this book or can tell me how to get a copy of it I would reallyappreciate it.
