I have photographs (post cards) of Trail Run and mine.
Does anyone have any information on the mine or the following:
George Harrison arrived in Guernsey County in 1880 from Nothumberland, England. He was followed 8 monthas later (1880-1881?) by his wife Charlotte/Charlotta Minto Harrison and 7 of eventually 11 children.
George became superintendent of the Trail Run Mine and a mine in Wellston, OH.Eventually he became Chief Mine Inspector for the State of Ohio, under 4 governors. George died in Caldwell, Noble Co., Ohio in 1913.
I believe George's son William (Will) Harrison had a son, "Scotty", who was raised in Trail Run after his mother's death.I believe Will remarried and was widdowed the second time and remarried the third time.He died in Jackson, Jackson Co., Ohio, where he is burried.
George's other children (total 9 girls, 2 boys) married into the following families: Heber, Leach, Patterson, Rose, Milhorn (two daughters married the same man after the death of one sitter), Metheny. There is also a Gander connection that I have not pinned down.
Two daughters died very young.Second son, Jack Harrison (Maude - no children) lived and died in Caldwell, Noble Co., OH.
Any information on the above would be appreciated.
