The National Allison (Allanson) Family Association is not a "surname society", but is an actual family association, albeit a huge one family. It is defined by association by-law as "the descendants of Thomas Allanson/Allison, Lord of Christian Temple Manor (1639-1684), a Gentleman of London, England and Charles County, Maryland. The association's publication, The Allison Family Voice, focuses solely on this particular family and the many family lines formed in America over the last 345 years following immigration, including the family line that migrated out of Maryland to Hancock County, WV and then eventually to Holmes County, OH.
