I found a brief cemetery listing online which listed Thobern Hawkins & (wife) Nora Hawkins in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk, Huron Co., OH -- It says they are on page 643 in the cemetery book.Seeing this is an apparently heavy cemetery volume and I live out-of-state, I am hoping someone who has access to the book will do a look-up of these two individuals for me and tell me what information is included in their listing. The cemetery book's brief listings were at the following url:
I am also trying to find the marriage record for Thobern Hawkins and Nora V. Padgett.I believe Thobern was born in Knox County, OH. He and Nora are buried in Norwalk though and his death record indicates he was a farmer. Can anyone look up their marriage records in Huron County?
The other information which I am trying to confirm relates to Thobern and Nora's children: Jerry Padgett Hawkins and Juanita Hawkins.(Juanita may have used Padgett as her middle name, too.Of that, I am not sure.)I do not know much about these children and the search seems a bit of a dead end.Either of them could possibly still be alive -- though I do not know their birth years.Juanita may have married Charley Anast according to some information shared with me.
While searching for further information on Hawkins, I encountered some details about the Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk. The description indicated there were some famous Ohioans buried there. There was a little map showing a lake beside the cemetery.I was thinking it must be an exceptionally pretty setting. Since I am not a native to that area -- Is it one of the more "prestigious" cemeteries in the county??
This is my husband's genealogical roots which I am researching here.Thank you to any and all who can assist us.
