Still trying to find any info on my g-g-grandmother. Her maiden surname was Taylor, her married name was Markins. She was either Catherine or Sianna or Siana or Sian or Siannet or Elizabeth or Lian (in one county record). Not sure who her parents are. She was born in Virginia between 1841 and 1850; she married Sylvester Markins 4-25-1861 in Lawrence County; she died Sept. 1882 of consumption in Aid Township. No idea where she was buried.
They had 7 children: Eliza/Elizabeth Jane (who married William Henry Canter), Isaac M. (no info, he's in 1880 census only), Arthur William, Cecilla/Rilla/Rillie Markin Keenan (only info), James Edward (my g-grandfather), Rulany/Lena/Lennie/Laurie, and Harriet/Hattie. Have info on Arthur, Eliza, and James, nothing on the others.
Also discovered the following about 2 of her daughters, Rulany and Harriet: "RULANY MARKIN, b. February 07, 1878, Arabia, Lawrence County, Ohio; d. Unknown, ?
