Retired school teacher.
Memorial services for Gladys V. Seward, 78, of 5953 Licking Valley Road, N.E., Frazeysburg, will be at 2 p.m. Jan 4, 1992, at Perryton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Cordle officiating.
Mrs. Seward died at Dec. 23, 1991 at Licking Memorial Hospital.She was born June 26, 1913, in Columbus, to the late Carl Frederick and Anna Cecelia (Thompson) Dardinger.
She was a retired school teacher, retired from Utica High School.She was a member of the Perryton United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women Association,member of the church choir, member of Retired Teachers Association, Columbus Chapter 8 Campers Club, Newark Fiberglas Campers Club and Moundbuilder's Campers Club in Newark.
Surviving are her husband, John Seward, whom she married June 14, 1947; one daughter, Janice Seward of Frazeysburg; two brothers Carl F Dardinger, Jr. of Mount Vernon and Robert Dardinger of Sandusky, Ohio; two sisters; Mrs. Byron (Dorothy) Arnold and Miss Annabel Dardinger, both of Gahanna; one half-brother Samuel Dardinger of Columbus; one half-sister, Carla Dardinger of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.One siser is deceased.
There are no calling hours.The Baughman-Vensis-Orr Funeral Home in Frazeysburg is in charge of the arrangements.

SEWARD John F. Seward, 87, of 5953 Licking Valley Road, Frazeysburg, Oh., died at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 1999 in the Hospice Unit of Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark, Oh. Born October 1, 1911 in Springfield, Oh., he was retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglass of Newark. He was a member of the Perryton United Methodist Church and the Perry Township Historical Society. He was an avid camper and was a member of the Columbus Chapter #8 Campers Club, the Newark Fiberglass Campers Club, and the Mound Builders Campers Club. Surviving are 1 daughter, Janice Seward; and a niece, Denise Walters, both of Perryton. He was preceded in death by his parents Ira E. and Laura Jane (Foreman) Seward and his wife Gladys V. (Dardinger) Seward, who died December 23, 1991. There will be no calling hours. Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 1999 at the Perryton United Methodist Church with Rev. Roger Nichols officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Central Ohio, 1435-B West Main St., Newark, Oh. 43055 or to the Alzheimer's Association, East Central Ohio Chapter, 23 S.
