And this is Irene's obit, who never remarried and died exactly 55 years to the day, after Linneas: "The Blade", Wed., April 26, 1995, 2-12-6: Irene L. Ryerson, 90, of Whitehouse, OH, died April 24, 1995 in St. Lukes Hospital, Maumee, OH. Born Decemter 4, 1904 in Waterville, OH, the daughter of Fred and Lydia (Studer) Christman. On June 19, 1924, she married Linnaeas Ryerson and he preceded her in death in 1940. Irene retired in 1969 from Johns Manville. She was a member of Zion Methodist Church, Whitehouse; United Methodist Women and Amarania Circle and a Whitehouse American Legion Auxiliary member. Surviving are three sons, Olin A., Milton M. (Suzanne), Lancaster, PA and Leroy L. (JoAnn) Ryerson; two daughters, Louella (Robert) Rupp and Joanne L. (Orville) Carter, 14 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, and two sisters, Sara Holliker and Thelma Disher. Preceding her in death also was a grandson, Scott Carter. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 1995 in the Peinert Funeral Home, Whitehouse, Revs. Clarence Hensel and Greg Ryerson officiating. Interment will be made in Whitehouse Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the church.
