In the 1930 census, Morris said he was 37, first md at 21, was a widower and a painter.
On his WWII draft registration card dated April 25, 1942 in Napoleon, Henry, OH, he said the person that would always know his whereabouts was A. L. CHAMPION, Rt. 2, Napoleon which suggests that he was not married.
In the 1930 census, there was an "Aberham" (Abraham) CHAMPION in Florida Village, Henry, OH. He was 60 and his wife was Mary then 68.

His father was George and his mother's maiden name was Sarah ROBINSON. The informant was Carl W. Champion, Flat Rock Twp., Henry, OH. Abraham and Mary are both buried in St. Augustine Cemetery, Napoleon.
I am not related so I don't know how Morris became George's grandson but it appears that Sarah had a daughter who married a a Prettyman or Morris may have changed his surname. Sarah's grandson would also be George's grandson.
