George's address on his draft card was 214 Michigan Street. All the buildings that were there then were razed for (what was) the Libbey Owens Ford Glass Company's main headquarters that covered most of a full city block.
I'll check the 1942 Toledo city directory for Brown or White or whoever lived there then.
I doubt that George would refer to his wife with a surname other than Brown. More likely, Josephine was his landlady or the apartment manager.
