"The Blade", Monday, Jan. 21, 1963, 1-14-1: Theodore L. Arnold, 64, died yesterday in his home, 518 Federman St. Born in Mansfield, O., Mr. Arnold lived in Toledo 50 years. He was a driver-salesman the last two years at Flo-Co Furnace Supply Co. He previously was employed 31 years by the former L. F. Burdick Co. Mr. Arnold was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Minnie; daughter, Mrs. Elaine Harry, Dearborn, Mich.; son, Theodore J., Toledo; sister, Mrs. Mary Rasbury, Taylor, Mich.; and five grandchildren. Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the H. H. Birkenkamp Mortuary, Broadway, with burial in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to the Lucas County Chapter, American Cancer Society or to Faith Lutheran Church.
"The Blade", Tuesday, Oct. 4, 1993, 1-10-5: Theodore J. "Ted" Arnold, 70 years old of Toledo, died Sunday, October 3 with Hospice care at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Sue Arnold of Holland, Ohio. Ted served in the U. S. Navy from July 1942 thru October 1947 with honr as a Coxswain on the USS Franklin. He married Ruth J. Delong on Sept. 17, 1948 in Toledo. Her passing in 1991 was a severe loss to Ted. Ted went to work on the New York Central Railroad as a conductor when he got out of the Navy in October 1947. He retired from Conrail in 1983. He will be missed by his grandsons, Jamie and Matt Arnold and his dog, Boomer. Also surviving is a son Ted (Kathy) Arnold, two granddaughters Jodi and Kim and two great-grandchildren and step-mother Minnie Arnold. There will be no visitation. Graveside services for friends and family will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 5 in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Rev. Peter M. Brown, officiating. Tributes may be in the form of contributions to the Northwest Ohio Hospice Association or the American Cancer Society, Lucas County Unit. Arrangements are being handled by the Neville Funeral Home Reynolds Chapel.
