Bernard F. KOCHER, 59, a retired naval veteran who was held as a prisoner during World War II died Saturday in his home. Mr. Kocher served 25 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1964 as a chief petty officer. He was held in a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp in Moulmein, Burma, for almost two years. Surviving are his wife, Betty; sons,Garrick, Lenny and Kevin; daughters, Mrs. Deborah Ryan, Mrs. Kathleen Leese and Mrs. Shelly Gazda; mother Mrs. Margaret Kocher; brother, Joseph; and sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Kuron, Mrs. Martha Leibovitz and Mrs. Gloria Ceder. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Church. There will be no visitation. The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to the church.
